Latest Platform Improvements

We’re excited to announce the latest updates to WaveBasis, designed to make your wave analysis workflow more intuitive and efficient. The new features, improvements, and bug fixes ensure that you have the best tools at your disposal for accurate and streamlined Elliott Wave analysis.

Your workspace will automatically update to the latest version, so you don’t have to do anything to receive the upgrades.

Upgraded: Alternate Wave Counts Gadget

A new feature added to the alternate wave counts gadget brings a more intuitive workflow to your wave analysis process. With this update, you can now display alternate wave counts on any timeframe or lock them to the timeframe they were initially calculated on. This flexibility allows for a more customized and precise analysis experience, ensuring that you can seamlessly integrate alternate counts into your overall strategy.

The result is a more productive workflow that helps you get to trading decisions faster and more confidently.

To make use of this feature, make sure that “waves on all timeframes” is enabled in your wave count settings. This ensures that your alternate counts are displayed accurately across different timeframes, giving you a comprehensive view of the market dynamics.

If you want to use this new feature with alternate subwave counts that are calculated using the Count Subwaves or Timeframe Drilldown features, make sure “alts for subwave counts” is also enabled in your wave count settings.

As an additional convenience, the currently displayed alternate count will be highlighted in the gadget, making it easier for you to identify and focus on the most relevant wave count. This enhancement simplifies the process of managing multiple wave counts, particularly across multiple charts, allowing you to stay organized and efficient in your analysis.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

This upgrade required making changes to the way that subwave counts are calculated which has impacted the Refresh Count feature. So, if you’ve counted subwaves on any of the charts in your workspace before your workspace updates to the latest version, you will have to recalculate the subwave counts before the Refresh Count feature will work. We apologize for the inconvenience, but it’s all in the name of progress!

Upgraded: Increased Chart Viewing Capacity

You can now view a significantly wider date range because charts can now zoom out to accommodate 50% more bars/candles, providing you with a larger overview of the market at any timeframe.  This change allows for a more detailed and expansive view, enabling you to make more informed decisions based on a broader market perspective.

Upgraded: Expanded Timeframe Drilldown Capability

We’ve relaxed some limitations in the Timeframe Drilldown feature to allow for bigger timeframe jumps. This adjustment makes it easier for you to navigate between different timeframes, offering greater flexibility and efficiency in your wave analysis workflow. You can now more quickly and seamlessly refine your analysis from higher-timeframe wave counts to smaller timeframes as you zero in on potential trading opportunities.

Fixed: Improved Subwave Counting Workflow

An issue with the Counting Subwaves feature has been resolved. Now, previous subwaves are automatically and completely deleted, eliminating the annoying wave clutter that could sometimes occur. This fix along with other refinements ensures consistently clean subwave counts and and overall more intuitive workflow.

Fixed: Consistent Historical Data Loading on Fast Intraday Charts

Intraday charts will now fill in past historical data, which was sometimes not the case on smaller charts when displayed in a multi-chart layout. Previously, particularly at smaller timeframes, charts could stop loading historical data prematurely under some circumstances. This fix guarantees that you have access to complete historical data regardless of your chart layout or timeframes, providing you with a more consistent and reliable analysis experience.

These updates reflect our ongoing commitment to continuously improving WaveBasis to meet your needs and enhance your wave analysis capabilities. We are confident that these new features and improvements will make your market analysis more efficient and effective.

We encourage you to explore these updates and experience the enhanced functionality for yourself.
